East Kent Combined Services Lodge No 10038
June 2025Our Philosophy Is To Provide
A Warm Welcome for All
Whether it is your first, second or tenth time visiting the lodge, we offer you a warm welcome and an experience like no other. In true East Kent Combined Services Style!
Visiting and Visitors
Visiting another lodge is such an important part of Freemasonry, meeting new brothers, experiencing the different lodges, how they look, what they do slightly different to us, and the traditional customs, passed down from hundreds of years.
Being such a new lodge, we love to see as many visitors as we can at our meetings, to experience the laying down of new traditions, like the empty chair at our festive board. The Police Gavels, our closing hymn and much more.
THE EMPTY CHAIR
A Tradition started at our first festive board, to remember our Secretary Elect. WBro Paul LeMasonry. Unfortunately, he passed to the Grand Lodge Above, before the lodge was consecrated, so, to never forget him and also to remember those who have also passed to the Grand Lodge Above, and whom will never be forgotten.
Our 14th June 2025 Meeting
The Meeting held at Ashford Masonic Centre, was to ballot for 2 new members, one joining from another lodge, a member of Shorncliffe Lodge number 4330, and the other to ballot for a brand-new member. If approved, which he was, he was then initiated into the lodge.
On behalf of the Worshipful Master and all the Brethren, we welcome Trevor into our fantastic organisation and East Kent Combined Services Lodge No 10038.
A first for our lodge was the presentation of two Grand Lodge Certificates, awarded to each member on the completion of their third degree, it is to be carried by them as they attend and visit other lodges.
In the usual tradition, as we near the end of another reign of a Worshipful Master, WBro Kevin D Stones, it was time to declare a new master. With WBro Michael Salter being the only nominee, he was duly declared Worshipful Master Elect of the East Kent Combined Services Lodge No 10038, being installed at our next meeting.
The Meeting ended after the usual business was carried out, and members and visitors then left the temple and enjoyed the festive board.
We all departed to various corners of the Country, in Peace, Love and Harmony.
